Towle Legato Sterling Cream Soup Spoon

If you've been putting your flatware in the dishwasher, it may look like the spoon on the left. The right-hand photo shows the spoon after I repatinated the ornament and polished the entire piece, highlighting the ornament while returning the spoon to a beautiful luster.  I always take care not to buff off the delicate ornament and fine scratches (which impart a rich patina to old silver).  Photos: Jeff Herman
